WhatsApp, an application that can be found easily on almost every smartphone out there. But recently the users have been receiving links on their phones which claims that it can turn the instant messaging applicant’s theme from its trademark green to pink color interface. Moreover, the link also claims to add new features.

The cyber experts and concerned authorities analyzed it and warned users of WhatsApp to refrain from clicking on any such link. As per them, clicking on the link claiming to be an official update from WhatsApp can hack your phones, and you may lose access to your WhatsApp account.
In case, you receive a link, then you should not open it. As if you do it may mean hackers can enter and get full access to your data and credentials.
The WhatsApp Pink link is currently being circulated among various WhatsApp groups. So, don’t click it and not even forward it further to your friends or family.
Right after the link is in the air, cybersecurity expert Rajshekahar Rajaharia posted on social media- “Beware of WhatsApp Pink! A virus or malicious link is being spread in WhatsApp groups with an APK download link. Don’t click any link with the name of WhatsAppPink, as complete access to your smartphone can be lost after it”.
To safeguard its users’ privacy and alert them, WhatsApp did come forward and said- “Anyone can get an unusual, uncharacteristic, or suspicious encourage everyone to use caution before responding or engaging. On WhatsApp in particular, we also recommend that people use the tools that we offer within the app to send us a report, report or contact or block contact”.
