Bengaluru, 28th October 2024—St Joseph’s University proudly announces the fourth edition of its flagship entrepreneurship event, Start-Up Mela 4.0, along with the official launch of the St Joseph’s University Innovation Council. Organized by the University’s Entrepreneurship Cell in collaboration with the Public Relations Office, this year’s event will take place on 28th October 2024, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the University Grounds.
This landmark event is set to host Dr. Balan Gurumoorthy, a prominent Professor in Design and Manufacturing and Head of the Society for Innovation & Development at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, as the chief guest. Dr. Gurumoorthy’s expertise in innovation is expected to energize and inspire participants and attendees alike. Additionally, this year’s event celebrates a strategic partnership with K-Tech, under Karnataka’s Ministry of IT & BT, along with support from prominent organizations, including Razorpay, Ginserv, NSRCEL, AIC NITTE, Wadhwani Foundation, OutNorm Ventures, Draper House, 888 VC, Step Up Ventures, Maarg, MSME Business Forum, We Founders Circle, Miaana Partners, Ant Labs, Warmup Ventures, and Aron Universal.

Start-Up Mela 4.0 will showcase over 125 startups across various sectors and welcome more than 10 venture capitalists, providing a rich platform for networking, innovation, and entrepreneurial growth. This event also celebrates the inauguration of the St Joseph’s University Innovation Council, a dedicated initiative aimed at fostering innovation, entrepreneurial culture, and startup opportunities among students and faculty.
