OnePlus, Qualcomm plan to begin 5G preliminaries in India

New Delhi: Chinese cell phone producer OnePlus Wednesday said it intends to work with chipset creator Qualcomm on 5G preliminaries in India.

Premium gadget producer had shown its first 5G model cell phone controlled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 versatile stage at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this week.

In an announcement, OnePlus said it will be “among the first OEMs (unique gear producers) to dispatch cell phones controlled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 versatile stage in India, and plans to work with Qualcomm on 5G preliminaries”.

In any case, it didn’t give any subtleties further.

“We have been faithful to Qualcomm’s 800-arrangement Snapdragon chipsets since the arrival of our absolute first lead gadget. This solid organization with Qualcomm influences us to trust that we could convey the best 5G gadget to the world,” OnePlus organizer and CEO Pete Lau said.

OnePlus said it started research on the new-age 5G innovation in 2016 and after a year, it began working with Qualcomm on OnePlus’ 5G gadget improvement.
