Microsoft will be ending Windows 10 support in October 2025

Microsoft is on the verge of launching its next version of Windows on 24th June. Also, it has revealed that it will be soon ending the support for Windows 10. However, the company quietly announced that the news in a support page update.

Before, this page did not note when Microsoft is planning to end its support for certain versions of Windows 10. However, it has now stated that Microsoft started supporting windows 10 Home and Pro on 29th July 2015 and even revealed that the operating system’s “retirement date.”

Well, the end-of-support timeline puts the Windows 10 lifecycle at a hair which is more than 10 years that is quite similar to the last iteration of the OS.

Recently, Microsoft has canceled Windows 10X that is initially going for dual-screen devices. It mentioned that it will be bringing some of the updated features which are planned for the OS into the standard version of Windows.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella mentioned, “Soon we will share one of the most significant updates to Windows of the past decade to unlock greater economic opportunity for developers and creators.”

Well, the executive went on to mention that he has been personally testing the current version iteration of the OS for the last few months.
