Mark Zuckerberg Buys 600 Acres in Hawaii for $53 Million

The famous business tycoon Mark Zuckerberg is always in top discussions when it comes to his extensive real estate portfolio. There is a wide array of extremely unusual properties that make it one of type. He owns a $7 million home in Palo Alto, California, a $59 million Lake Tahoe compound, and recently the tech mogul has had his eyes set on Hawaii.

The newest March deal suggests that it has been made public, Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan closed on 600 acres of land on the Hawaiian island of Kauai for $53 million, reported by Mansion Global.

Apart from leading the business to its newest heights with the ongoing trends and needs, Mark is always up to add some of the beautiful and holiday getaway locations or land pieces to his existing portfolio. The land, located in the northeastern part of the area, had been owned by the Waioli corporation, a local organization centered on conservation.

This is not the first time Marck has purchased property on the islands. Back in 2014, the duo reportedly acquired 700 acres of land for over $100 million. But unfortunately, it has been in dispute, as part of it was known to be granted to native Hawaiian families in the mid-1800s.

After purchasing it, March has been developing a ranch-style home and prioritizing preservation efforts also. He said in the statement- “we have been working closely with several community partners to promote conservation, produce sustainable agriculture, and protect native wildlife at our ranch and in the surrounding areas, and look forward to extending that effort to Lepeuli in the coming months”.
