Pune: the gaming platform Lakshya Digital decided to add up to 200 more people at its newly set up studio in Bengaluru. It has been done as the game art creation company seeks to create a Center of excellence in India’s silicon valley.
It is one of the largest gaming process outsourcing companies globally and among the biggest game art creators in India currently. It has identified a few focus areas that would help strengthen its presence all across the globe.
The chief executive officer Manvendra Shukul said- “We have identified two-three areas where we want to build competence globally—like hard surface modeling, vehicle creation, and animation”.
The sources suggest that the studio in Bengaluru is the company’s Third in India after Pune and Gurugram. It is the sixth globally recognized firm after Seattle, Tokyo, and London. The firm has a place in the leadership team in Bengaluru, and while the unit started operations at the end of March, and workforce is working remotely due to covid-19 as of now.
The company also stated that there were some key changes underway, as publishers were looking to reduce costs, which will result in rising outsourcing. To date, the business has grown by about 30% in 2020 and is expected to grow more in the coming years. The recent plans directly state that Bengaluru will play a vital role in its overall growth. Lastly, it has also set up an academy to ensure it has a steady pipeline of trained talent needed to flourish the business.
