Freshworks Appoints Murali Swaminathan as Chief Technology Officer

San Mateo, CA – September 2024: Freshworks Inc. (NASDAQ: FRSH) announced the appointment of Murali Swaminathan as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In his new role, Murali will spearhead Freshworks’ technology strategy, driving its global engineering and architecture teams to elevate employee and customer experience solutions. Murali Swaminathan brings over 30 years of extensive experience in software engineering and management. Before joining Freshworks, Murali served as Vice President of Engineering at ServiceNow, where he oversaw the development of their IT Service Management (ITSM) and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) products. Under his leadership, these products were adopted by thousands of customers globally and generated billions in revenue.

At Freshworks, Murali will lead efforts to develop high-quality, scalable, and secure products. His appointment reinforces Freshworks’ commitment to delivering AI-powered solutions that drive efficiency and enable mid-market and enterprise customers to compete globally.

Murali holds a master’s degree in Software Engineering Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Instrumentation from Annamalai University, India.
