He was 84 years of age. On August 10, Mukherjee was hospitalized for a mind coagulation medical procedure. Prior to this, he was determined to have COVID-19. He went through a medical procedure to treat the coagulation before long.

He filled in as the thirteenth President of India from 2012 until 2017. Before he turned into the president, Mukherjee was the Union Finance Minister between 2009-12.
