NEW DELHI- On Thursday, one of the air freight majors FedEx said it is all set to support the transportation of more than 25000 Oxygen concentrators and converters to India through an initiative with the US-INDIA strategic partnership forum and other multinational companies.
Earlier on April 30, an initial shipment of around 1,000 critical oxygen concentrators was also delivered by FedEx to Delhi. It is the world’s largest express transportation company which helps in delivering across the world.
Early in May, FedEx is sending its Boeing 777 f charter flight to move more than 3400 oxygen concentrators and near the 265000 KN95 masks from Newark to Mumbai.
These supplies will be further delivered to health care facilities and covid centers in Mumbai to support the shortage of medical supplies.
Additionally, the company is working with customers and other non-profit organizations to support and deliver hundreds of tonnes of medical supplies to help India in the days and weeks ahead.
Lastly, FedEx President and COO Raj Subramaniam said, “The devastating humanitarian crisis in India requires relief from around the world and it is our mission to deliver critical aid needed to help alleviate suffering. We have been on the frontlines delivering relief since the start of the printing and are responding to the urgent situation in India now. FedEx will continue to deliver life-saving medicine for sir protective equipment, and other critical supplies until the pandemic is over”.
