The President of Cisco India (SAARC) Sameer Garde decided to resign after spending 4 years at the global networking solutions provider.
He took over as the President of Cisco India operations in July 2017, and he will continue to hold office till the end of July 2021.
Over this the company commented via email that- “he has had a tremendous impact on our ,,business over the past 4 years. We thank him for his contributions to Cisco and wish him very best in his future endeavours”.
Until now, there is no news and information about what would be Sameer’s next move. But some sources suggest he is likely to join the social sector.
Now the company is looking for Sameer’s successor and is expected to make an announcement on the same in the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, under the guidance and leadership of Garde, Cisco has seen steady growth rate in its India business, and putting it among the most eminent growing markets for the company. Moreover, it has global revenue of USD 49.3 billion in the FY ended in July 2020.
In addition, in 2019, the CEO Chuck Robbins had said India is one of the most consistent growth markets for the organization and that it is on track to contribute around 10 percent of its business in coming 5 to 10 years.
