New Delhi – With the ongoing rise of the COVID-19 pandemic in India, authorities, and people across the country were concerned about the committee’s reviews. Twitter faced daily patterns of ‘cancelboardexams’ according to student safety. The Central Council has asked people and state governments to cancel the reviews and make quick decisions on them.
After looking at the whole scenario, Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to hold a meeting to discuss further the matter and to come up with the feasible and right way of holding examinations considering students health in mind.
Following the meeting, the Ministry of Education decided to postpone the class 12 examinations and to cancel the class 10 examinations. For the CBSE Class 12 boards of directors, the station will be reviewed on June 1, 2021, with new revised dates announced thereafter or likely before 15 days.
On the other hand, for CBSE 10 students, the outcome will be prepared on the basis of an “objective criterion” that will be developed by the council. In addition, any candidate who is dissatisfied with their assigned grades may attend an examination when the conditions are conducive to the conduct of the examinations. Last year at CBSE had devised a new scheme for Class 10 students.
Previously, the Ministry of Education and CBSE held a meeting in the midst of growing demand from people to cancel the exams. Today’s meeting will look at the two CBSE, but could also bring a uniform policy or new guidelines on on-board reviews across states, as has been required by several ministers of state.
In 2021, at one time, we all thought COVID-19 would slow down and take over. But with time and neglect in individuals without proper follow-up, without social distancing, which has resulted in COVID cases per day. Over 30 lakh students appear for CBSE class 10 exams and 12 boards every year on average. Amid growing cases, the health of students and teachers on duty during board examinations is a serious concern.
